Wir begrüßen Sie zu unserer neuen Herbst Winter Saison, die von der bahnbrechenden Energie und dem kreativen Geist der außergewöhnlichen Fauves-Bewegung durchdrungen ist.
Im Oktober 1905 sorgten eine Handvoll Künstler, darunter Matisse, Derain, Dufy und de Vlaminck gebührend für Aufruhr als sie ihre Werke im ‚Salon d’Automne‘ in Paris präsentierten. Mit ihren leuchtenden Farben und den fantasievollen und wilden Pinselstrichen sorgten ihre Arbeiten für Aufsehen und der renommierte Kunstkritiker Louis Vauxcelles erklärte diese Gruppe zu ‚wilden Tieren‘ oder ‚Les Fauves‘.
Mit Matisse als Meister der Kunstwelt trat eine neue Moderne ein und die Epoche der Abstraktion löste den Impressionismus ab. Eine lebendige und innovative Stimmung entstand, neue Farben, Texturen und Muster die Gefühle des Künstlers zum Ausdruck brachten.
