There are evenings that simply tick every box – delicious food, lively atmosphere, and that special touch of Provençal charm. Our dinner at Chez Vincent et Bastien – Le Bistrot de Saint Rémy was exactly that.
Tucked in the heart of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, this bistro has earned its reputation among locals and travelers alike. With its rustic stone façade, red shutters, and twinkling lights under the plane trees, the place feels like stepping into a postcard of Provence. The menu is a mix of regional classics and modern touches, prepared with passion by Vincent and Bastien, two chefs who clearly know how to celebrate French cuisine.

We started with seasonal Provençal dishes, perfectly balanced between hearty and elegant. The star of the evening, however, was the dessert: a molten chocolate cake so decadent it deserves a standing ovation – rich, velvety, and with just the right touch of drama when the first spoonful revealed its heart of molten goodness. Needless to say, this cake now carries the official Les Grumpies Approved Stamp.
If you ever find yourself in Saint-Rémy, don’t miss Le Bistrot de Saint Rémy. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere, and leave with a smile (and maybe a chocolate cake craving that will haunt you forever).
