Some of the best lunches are the ones you didn’t plan.

We certainly hadn’t planned a visit to La Roque-d’Anthéron — but as so often in Provence, curiosity won. And oh, how it paid off.

Tucked into this quietly elegant village, Restaurant Le Jas turned out to be a little culinary gem. Stone walls, wooden shutters, a relaxed Provençal rhythm — the kind of place that instantly makes you slow down and order another glass of red.

Chef Emeric Corbon treated us to a beautifully balanced three-course lunch. Each plate was thoughtful, seasonal, and confidently understated — until dessert arrived and stole the show entirely 😍

Creative, elegant, and just indulgent enough to make you consider ordering dessert first next time.

And yes, we need to talk about that red wine reduction.

Let’s just say it wasn’t a sauce — it was an experience. One you could happily bathe in 🤣🍷

Le Jas is proof that detours are often the best part of travelling.

Go with an open mind. Leave very happy.
